How to feel super good

Today I had two separate clients tell me they are feeling “super good” about their life in general at the moment. It’s not always how a coaching conversation starts!

It got me thinking about how much of our wellbeing is within our control… and how much of it isn’t.

We all know that sleeping, eating and moving well improves our capacity to handle challenges thrown at us.

Working on our mindset and bringing a constructive approach to problems really helps too.

But I don’t care how big your capacity is, if enough challenges come your way all at once, it can overwhelm you.

Equally, when the level of challenge reduces, you feel better.

Both of these clients had tackled aspects of their wellbeing that were within their control, and were reaping the rewards of that effort.

But equally, both of them had benefited from changes in their work set-up that meant things had simply become easier and more enjoyable.

Combine the two and you get “super good”!

If things are tough, certainly look around for where you can make some positive changes that will help.

Equally, don’t blame yourself when you’re in a challenging situation that’s not actually your fault. Insisting that everyone will feel amazing if they just eat their carrots and look on the bright side is toxic. It means that if someone is suffering, they can be blamed for not having done enough to feel good. Yuck.

Life is complex, and that is super good.

Until next week,

Take care of yourself and others

Madeleine
