Saying yes and no to the right things

You actually can’t do everything to 100% quality all the time. There’s always a trade-off. Think of it this way:

  • When you say “yes” to something, to what are you really saying “no”?

  • When you say “no” to something, to what are you really saying “yes”?

Effective boundary setting is so important for both wellbeing and productivity, but it’s something we frequently find so difficult.

I recently read this Harvard Business Review article, 9 Ways to Say No to Busywork and Unrealistic Deadlines which includes some good tips for prioritising the things that matter to you over the things that don’t.

It follows, then, that it helps to be really clear on what matters to you.

Saying yes to your true north makes saying no to distractions so much easier.

If you’d like to work together on this in a more structured way, let me know.
